With these settings, you decide which messages are sent, what they say, and whether they’re delivered by email, SMS, or both.

Customer notifications settings allows you to:

  • Turn emails on/off per event: confirmation, reschedule, cancellation, reminder, and follow-up (sent 30 min after the appointment ends).

  • Edit the subject and body of each email to match your brand voice.

  • Personalize messages with variables like {{name}}, {{start_date}}, {{start_time}}, {{time_zone}}, {{appointment_type_name}}, {{notes}}, and {{shop_email}}.

  • Send SMS confirmations and reminders (requires the SMS Notifications add-on)

  • Prevent no-shows with reminders and drive feedback/upsells with follow-ups.

  • Test easily by making a test booking to your own email and adjusting copy as needed.

You can access customer notifications settings by navigating to Notifications → Customer notifications from the left menu.

Email notifications

Turn emails on or off: Toggle on to send automatically; toggle off to stop sending that email.

Use the toggle beside each template:

  • Appointment confirmation — sent right after a booking (if payment is required, it’s sent after checkout).

  • Appointment reschedule — sent when date/time changes.

  • Appointment cancellation — sent when a booking is canceled.

  • Appointment reminder — sent before the appointment.

  • Appointment follow-up — sent 30 minutes after the appointment ends.

When you switch the toggle off, the app first checks your calendars. If every calendar already uses the same email and phone, the toggle simply turns off and that choice is saved for all calendars—no pop-up.

If the calendars use different contact details, a pop-up opens. It lists every email and phone the app finds (if there are no phones, it shows only emails). Pick or edit the items you want to keep, then click Continue. The contacts you keep become the single set used by all calendars, and you’ll see “Settings updated.”

Edit the email copy

  1. Click Edit text next to a template.

  2. Update Email subject and Email content.

  3. Click Save.

Insert variables to auto-fill customer and booking details. Type them exactly as shown, including the double braces:

  • {{name}} — Customer name

  • {{customer_email}}, {{customer_phone}}

  • {{start_date}}, {{start_time}}, {{end_time}}, {{time_zone}}

  • {{calendar_name}} — Calendar the slot belongs to

  • {{appointment_type_name}} — Service/appointment type

  • {{page_name}} — Booking page title

  • {{notes}} — Customer notes (if collected)

  • {{shop_email}} — Your shop contact email

Email settings

Scroll down to Email settings section from Notifications → Customer notifications.

What you can do here:

  • Let customers reschedule from an email (the app inserts a secure link automatically).

  • Let customers cancel from an email (a cancel link is added automatically).

  • Set the email “From” name (e.g., your brand or location).

  • Pair these with your email templates to clarify policies (cut-off times, fees, etc.).

  1. Add a reschedule link to emails: Turn on Allow customers to reschedule appointments.

  2. Add a cancel link to emails: Turn on Allow customers to cancel appointments.

  3. Change the sender name shown in inboxes: Click Edit name, enter a name or use {{shop.name}}, Save.

SMS Notifications

SMS requires the SMS Notifications add-on.

You need to enable the add-on to activate SMS Notifications for your store.

With the SMS Notifications add-on, you can:

  1. Change SMS wording: Click Edit text beside the message → update → Save.

  2. Collect consent: Scheduling form → Fields → Phone field → write Agreement checkbox label and Error text.

  3. Personalize SMS: Add variables like {{name}}, {{start_date}}, {{start_time}}, {{time_zone}}, {{appointment_type_name}}.
